Malakkasraat – Archipelbuurt
For quite some time, we have had a special connection with the Archipelbuurt in The Hague where we maintain several Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance style properties. In short, it is a neighbourhood where we as Master Painters and Decorators can display our various specialisms at different levels. Together with Alexandria, we give free advice to interested residents on a wide range of renovation and painting issues every third Tuesday of the mon in the community centre Het Klokhuis. We are proud to say we have carried out projects in this district, where Haeners and Expats live and work together in a nice mix, on several occasions. The house on the Malakkastraat is a typical project that came about because we have built up somewhat of a reputation in the neighbourhood. And, as you probably know, De Haagse Beek runs partly under the Archipelbuurt. This means that a lot of the houses have problems with damp. On the Malakkastraat the owner wanted extra insulation under the living room floor. Here too, our partner, Alexandria Garantie Aannemers, delivered first-class work. They took care of the removal of the contaminated soil, high quality TonZon insulation and hand-forged, crafted cast iron air vents for in the floor. After the renovation jobs, the Master Painters at Parkstaete tackled the interior work, where both the varnish and the mineral paint for walls and ceilings were provided by Sigma.
